Class of 2001
We’d like to honor and congratulate the Friends’ School class of 2001 who graduated from high school spring 2008 and were honored at our Silver and Gold Celebration in June 2008:
Mackenzie “Kenzie” B. went to Southern Hills Middle School and graduated from Boulder High School. Since she left Friends’, Kenzie has been an avid swimmer and has been volunteering at the Boulder Humane Society. During her high school years, she assisted Jan Gillapsie with her multi intensive needs students which has inspired her to possibly work with special needs children someday. After hopefully working with the Boulder Humane Society this summer, Kenzie will be attending the veterinary assistant program at Front Range Community College. Of her time at Friends’, Kenzie says “The teachers at Friends School especially Diane Bramble and Lois Sandusky were an inspiration to me. They provided the most wonderful foundation for my education”.
As, Eric B. prepares to attend Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, he reflects on the influence Friends’ has had on him. “As a fifth grader getting ready for the silver and gold there was definitely a lot of fear and excitement going on. I was a little shy kid that was getting ready to embark on a huge journey. A lot of scary transitions were about to take place and I find myself in that position yet again. Now getting ready to move on to college on my own is one of the most frightening yet exciting things that I have had to face…All in all I think that the road that I am on is a good one and I definitely have Friends’ School to thank for that. Because of the great sense of community, kindness, compassion, and over all laid-backness, I feel that I have turned out to be a kinder, loving, compassionate and overall laid-back person which are good attributes that I will keep and cherish for the rest of my life. Yeyyyy Friends’ School!!!”
Camille B. went to Bridge School and graduated from Boulder High School. She will be attending Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio and will major in English and Philosophy.

She credits her foundation at Friends’ for helping develop her confidence, compassion, and love of learning!
