Class of 2004
Emily G., won the Dawson Middle School Shakespeare contest for the eight grade.
Happy Hour, a band including Friends’ graduates Jack H. (Friends’ class of 2005), Lucas H. (Friends’ class of 2004), and Tim C. (Friends’ class of 2003) performed at the Boulder Creek Festival in May 2007.
Sammy M. won the weekly Denver Post Haiku Contest in the fall of 2007 for his haiku on the theme of the Rockies’ success vs. the Broncos’ tough season.
Willie S., Class of 2005 and Peter S., Class of 2004, performed with their band at the Boulder Creek Festival in May 2007. Both alumni study guitar with Friends’ music teacher, Harwood Ferguson.
Peter S. qualified for the Junior National Alpine Ski Team. Peter qualified 9th for the Junior Olympics team competing against racers from Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. The Junior Olympics took place March 14-18 in Winter Park, Colorado with 18 Western States present and 160 racers.
