Service Learning

Service learning, often referred to as community service, is a way for students to give something to the community in which they live. It is through giving that they also receive.

Students interact with different groups and organizations in the community which they might not come in contact with on a regular basis. Several times a year students participate in serving their community, by helping clean the area around the school, cooking meals for people in need, participating in food or clothing drives, or visiting a senior center. Children learn that all people deserve our help and that they can make a difference.
