A primary
goal for social studies is that children learn about different people
and cultures, both past and present, in as authentic a way as possible.
Children start by exploring their personal world, and as they move
up from one classroom to the other, they branch out to learn more
and more about the world around them. We work to have children learn
cooperation and respect for each other, to communicate about their
feelings, and to solve problems peacefully.
