Friends’ teachers
are experts in their field, committed to growth and lifelong
learning. We encourage substantial staff development
on and off campus. Our teachers are caring, nurturing, creative individuals who
respect children and learning. In both Elementary and Preschool every teacher
knows every child.
Friends’ School offers a comprehensive independent, nonsectarian
program for children in Preschool (age 3) through grade five (age
11). Our program challenges students to reach their potential through
experimentation, exploration and direct instruction in an experiential
environment that strives for academic excellence, creative expression,
and social responsibility. Friends’ maintains small classes
with low student/teacher ratios, and an active, involved parent
community. At Friends’ we believe that every child is unique
and should be appreciated for who they are and for the special
gifts they possess.
