|  |  | ALUMNA FLORA QUINBY JOINS NASA WISH PROGRAM
Congratulations to Flora Quinby, (Friends’ Graduating Class of 2007), who was accepted into NASA’s Wish Program. NASA gives high school junior girls from across the United States an opportunity to jump-start their future by participating in their Women In STEM High School (WISH) Aerospace Scholars program.
Flora, a Junior at Boulder High School, will participate in online forums focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) topics, and complete online activities to qualify for a six-day summer experience at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. During the summer experience, the participants will work with mentors to design a mission to Mars, interact with NASA female role models, and mingle with scientists and engineers as they learn about careers in STEM.

 | ALUMNA ZOE BENSON ACCEPTED TO BERKLEE & ON iTUNES
Zoe Benson (Friends' Graduating Class of 2008), was accepted into the five week summer program at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. In addition, Zoe has two songs on iTunes and a video available on YouTube. Zoe is a Sophomore at Fairview High School, has studied at the Wildflower School of Voice in Boulder, and has performed solo musical theatre and pop songs at several local venues. Congratulations, Zoe!

 | ALUMNUS MICHAEL HANSEN LAUNCHES APP
Michael Hansen (Friends’ Graduating Class of 2007) and his classmate, Ryan Orbuch, both juniors at Boulder High School, just launched their first app, Finish for iPhone. Designed mostly for procrastinators, Finish is a task/to do manager aimed at helping people get organized, prioritize, and complete tasks. When grappling with how to keep track of all that’s required of busy high schoolers, these young men saw a need and filled it by creating a tool that would be useful to anyone who juggles too many things at once.  | ALUMNUS HENRY HUETTEL IS STATE SOCCER CHAMP
Congratulations to Henry Huettel (Friends’ Graduating Class of 2006). Henry was goalie for the Boulder High School Panthers who won the 5A State Soccer Championship on Monday, November 12, 2012. Boulder defeated Smoky Hill 3 -1. Read more here.

ALUMNA ALLISON VAUGHN TO DANCE IN MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE
Congratulations to Allison V. (Friends' Graduating Class of 2006), who was selected to the All American Dance Team and will dance next month in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. In addition, Allison is Captain of the Fairview High Poms and will lead her team at the National Championships in Orlando in February.
