University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH - M.Ed. Elementary Education
Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, I moved to Colorado in 2007. I have also called New Hampshire, Washington and California my home, but Colorado is where I am happiest. Since my first job as a PreK/K multi-age teacher in 2004, I have had a gratifying career, working among outstanding colleagues within remarkable schools. I am honored to be a part of the Friends School, where I feel deeply aligned with the vision to make the world a better place by challenging minds, nurturing spirits and honoring individuality.
Teaching is the most engaging career I can imagine. In a classroom, I feel I am many things, including a researcher, nurturer, artist, scientist, musician, writer and more. I find joy in the work of childhood and it is my pleasure to be there through the successes and challenges each one of my students faces.
When I am not in the classroom, I am spending time with my husband and our daughter, born in November 2017. We love hiking, camping, walks to look for bugs, cooking and listening for owls.
