Lead Elementary Teacher - K/1
Hailing from my upbringing in Massachusetts and adventures in Maine, I am thrilled to now reside in the mountains of Colorado. I graduated from Amherst College with a B.A. in European Studies and have since begun to pursue a M.A. in Education and Human Development with a concentration in Early Literacy. After graduating from our very own TPP program last spring, I am honored to an official member of the K/1 team at Friends.
I wake up excited to be in the classroom each day because I marvel at the power of a child’s imagination, natural curiosities, and unfiltered, brilliant thinking. The elementary years are a time in a child’s life that offers great opportunity to grow, play, learn and discover. Friends School combines these ideals with a social-emotional focus that matches my passions for student wellness, mindfulness and developing a growth mindset.
On a more personal note, I adore commuting to work by bike, hiking, skiing, practicing yoga, climbing, baking, eating sweet potato fries, playing field hockey and ultimate frisbee, reading, laughing, traveling and writing in my Appreciation Journal.
