My teaching career began at Friends School in 2016 when I completed the Teacher Prep Program as a Teacher Candidate in Kindergarten and I’ve been teaching the K/1 loop here ever since! I love working with the youngest learners in school because I get to laugh, smile and learn something new from their unfiltered brilliance each day. I believe that the elementary years are a time in a child’s life that offers great opportunity to grow, play, learn and discover. Friends School combines these ideals with a social-emotional focus that matches my passions for student wellness, mindfulness and developing a growth mindset. I feel lucky to be a part of this inspiring community of teachers every day!
On a more personal note, I adore commuting to work by bike, hiking, skiing, practicing yoga, climbing, baking, eating sweet potato fries, playing field hockey and ultimate frisbee, reading, laughing, traveling and writing in my Appreciation Journal.
