Baylor University - MA, Social Work
I am so excited to be joining the Friends School community this year as a Kindergarten Teacher Candidate. I grew up in Waco, Texas and received my Bachelor’s in Social Work with a minor in Spanish from Baylor University. I then earned my Master’s in Social Work with a specialization in Community Practice and a concentration in Church Social Work from Baylor University. Shortly after moving to Wisconsin, I spent two years as a Special Education Assistant. I fell in love with building authentic relationships and encouraging students to reach their full potential. I feel passionate about affirming the worth, value, and capability of every student I teach. I am especially excited to be at Friends School because of the importance the school places in caring for the child holistically, creating a safe learning environment, and honoring individuality.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my husband, Nate. You can find us hiking and fly-fishing with our cute dog, Willow! I also love to read, dance, and travel.
