Growing up in the forests of New Hampshire, being active and enjoying the outdoors has always been a passion of mine. My classroom has taken many forms over the years including rivers, mountains, caves, glaciers, oceans and more. I am thrilled to be able to bring my years of adventure education to this amazing community at Friends School.
I discovered the joys of teaching your passion to others back in high school when I taught friends how to whitewater kayak. As I made my way through college, I learned what an effective tool adventure education could be, especially when reaching children who do not learn well through traditional methods. Watching the spark of curiosity grow in a child, and blossom into a love of learning continues to drive me to be a better educator every day.
During my time outside of my work at Friends School, I spend my time with my dog companion, Sadie. We enjoy exploring the outdoors, and spending time with our friends. When we’re not adventuring, I enjoy building in my makers space at home. My latest project, a bee hive. Happy trails!
