I grew up on the sunny shores of San Diego and moved out to the beautiful state of Colorado to attend CU Boulder. During my time as a student, I worked for two amazing non-profits, the I Have A Dream Foundation and Attention Homes.
Shortly after graduation, I moved to Thailand to teach English. Upon returning I started working for an incredible nonprofit called Playworks, where I worked in elementary schools across Colorado empowering students and staff to embody the socioemotional skills that can be built through play. Through this experience I was able to see that my true passion lies in teaching. In September of 2018, I moved back to North Boulder. I was connected to the Friends Teacher Preparation Program by a fellow educator and felt it would be a perfect fit to give me the tools I need to be a successful teacher.
Outside of work you can find me exploring the outdoors with family and friends. From hiking and biking to camping and snowboarding, I love everything that Colorado has to offer. I am also an avid traveler and love to explore new destinations around the world. In addition, I enjoy reading, cooking, yoga and playing with our two adorable kitties.
