Katie Latier

Katie Latier grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, and holds a master’s degree in career counseling from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Katie is a connector at heart. She has spent the majority of her working life striving to help others find their way, make meaningful connections, and encourage a sense of giving back. Most recently, Katie spent 21 years as the Associate Director of the University of Colorado Real Estate Center at the Leeds School of Business in Boulder. She was one of the first employees of the Real Estate Center and an integral part of creating, building, and growing the Center and its academic and extracurricular programs. Her primary responsibilities included overseeing student placement, facilitating internship and mentor programs, counseling students on coursework and career issues, organizing networking opportunities, and building strong relationships with local and national real estate companies and executives. Prior to joining the CU Real Estate Center, Katie was a change management specialist for Motorola in Austin, Texas.

Katie is the proud Mom of two boys who attended Friends School and believes wholeheartedly in the school’s mission to educate the whole child.

In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, traveling locally and internationally, hiking, and experiencing everything Colorado has to offer.
