Denver University, Denver, CO - MA, Vocal Performance
I have enjoyed several careers in my adult life including music coordinator and instructor, voice teacher, and manager of the Zolo Grill in Boulder. In 2011 when I realized I was missing connecting with children, a colleague suggested the Teacher Preparation Program at Friends’ School. I returned to the classroom, and spent the 2012-2013 school year co-teaching Kindergarten at Lafayette Elementary and in the Preschool at Friends’ School, earning my Colorado teaching license. I spent the next two years teaching at Flagstaff Academy in Longmont, and am also working toward a second Master’s in Educational Psychology.
Watching students navigate their world through play, experimentation, reading, listening and research is pure joy. I love learning and exploring and bring that passion to my students in hopes to light their fire as learners.
When not at school I enjoy taking adventures with my husband and twin boys, singing, hiking, camping, skiing, cooking and playing the ukulele.
