I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. This past spring I graduated from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA, with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies and a minor in art. Over the summer, I moved to Boulder to pursue the Friends School Teacher Preparation Program/matriculation MA in Learning, Developmental and Family Sciences through CU Denver (my sister Katie is currently attending CU Boulder to pursue her MS in Engineering). I’m excited to be working alongside my mentor teacher Farren Wyner in her 4th grade classroom this year! Over the past several years, I’ve been so lucky to work with children in different settings whether that may be through Sunday school, a traditional classroom, or in free play moments (which are the best!). I love working with children of all ages and learning about the developmental aspects in their growth, which I find to be so beautiful and interesting to me. In my free time, I love to draw and paint, hike, run, cook, spend time with family and friends, and practice yoga. I’m looking forward to taking on kayaking and rock climbing here in Colorado, which I’ve never experienced before! I’m looking forward to a great year at the Friends School!
