Kristin Lawrence is a scientist, educator, entrepreneur, and maker. She taught Planetary Geophysics at Stanford University before moving to Boulder to found a recreational family STEM facility. She received a BA in Physics from Carleton College and Ph.D. from Scripps Institution of Oceanography in Planetary Geophysics, focusing on investigating magnetic fields of the Earth, Moon, and Mars. She has a core strength in developing introductory curricula and tools that entice students to continue in the scientific fields with a strong experimental focus. Kristin is passionate about science education, community, and philanthropy for the sciences. Her mission is to focus existing community support into beneficial actions for Boulder and the surrounding areas. Her twins are in seventh grade at Friends Middle School.
