As a daughter of teachers, I learned the value and power of teaching and education at an early age. Whether through personal or professional development, I feel that continued growth and learning is essential to one’s well-being. I’m grateful to be a part of Friends School whose mission is inspiring and whose vision of teaching children to not only be thoughtful, compassionate and creative, but to be socially responsible individuals and environmental stewards speaks to me. I’m looking forward to helping the community of Friends ensure the organization grows strategically and sustainably so that we can positively impact the future of the students.
Early in my career, I worked in restaurants and catering, eventually starting an organic catering business with a friend. I found the business side fascinating and switched gears to start my career in operations. I worked at Washington City Paper, an alternative alt-weekly in Washington, D.C. and then several nonprofits in Boulder including The Nature Conservancy, National Wildlife Federation and Colorado Open Lands, all organizations doing their part to protect this beautiful state for future generations.
Outside of work, you can find me running, cooking, baking, sewing, throwing pottery, spending time with my partner and my sister and her family, cheering on WNBA and NBA Basketball teams and playing with my pug and dachshund/pug mix.
