I’d never heard of Friends School until my oldest son turned 2. A co-worker at the time urged me to quickly get my name on the list at Friends preschool. Apparently, getting your child in to the right preschool in Boulder was even more important than finding the right college down the road. One visit to Friends and I was sold and so my (our) journey at Friends began back in 1999. My preschooler and his brother are now grown men and yet my work and love for this place has continued to grow every year since.
I’ve filled many roles on the admin team here and as Friends has grown, so has my role. I love what I do here, telling the Friends School story through our website, marketing and photography.
Before coming to Friends, I worked in a variety of industries: project manager, marketing director and IT director for a local environmental design firm; manager of a small IT business; freelance marketing for small local business; and paralegal. Of course the role of mother to my sons, Michael (Friends fifth grade class of 2007) and Jack (Friends fifth grade class of 2012) has brought me the greatest joy. It is a privilege to have filled the roles of both parent and staff in this remarkable Friends School community.
I’ve lived in Colorado most of my life and feel lucky to live here. In my free time I run, hike, ride my bike a lot, and enjoy just about anything outdoors. I am a trained Master Gardener and occasionally help with residential landscape design.
