My name is Miguel Sanchez and I will be the new Spanish teacher at Friends School starting this fall. I’m a veteran teacher with experience in a variety of areas. Most of my teaching has been in bilingual, elementary education, but I’ve also taught high school and community college. Before moving to Boulder 4 years ago I was also a volunteer teacher abroad for 4 years with my wife Brandi. Alongside my Spanish position at Friends, I am also the education coordinator at Community Cycles here in Boulder. I help run and organize their bike repair workshops.
I live in Boulder with my wife and 3 young boys. Two of our boys will be attending Friends School as well. The oldest will be in first grade and our middle child will be starting preschool. I enjoy trail running, biking, and basically anything outdoors.
I am very excited to be joining the Friends School family.
