Nuno Monteiro

I am thoroughly delighted with continuing my role as a part of the Friends School community as a math, technology and photography teacher! As an educator and coach for the last decade, I strive to create a classroom that supports my students with the social, emotional and academic development that they need. Additionally, I think it is essential to cultivate a sense of curiosity, a love of learning and critical thinkers.

In my former life, I worked as a telecommunications engineer where I spent most of my time analyzing big (telephony) data, coding and on occasion, tracing the origination of threats. I still find myself fascinated by technology, but my heart’s first love is teaching!

When I am not focused on work, you’ll find me in the outdoors (mostly climbing) where I believe it is of the utmost importance to preserve our natural and wild places.
