I have spent my entire life in Minnesota, but since visiting Boulder for the first time about 2 years ago, I knew I needed to call it home. I am eager to soak in all that Colorado has to offer. I graduated from The University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul Minnesota with a B.S. in Exercise Science. While in school I interned at the Wellness Center, creating programs to promote student health and bell being, and was a member of the lacrosse team. Upon graduating, I worked in the wellness field, but ultimately felt most fulfilled when my interactions involved children. Whether it was coaching lacrosse, babysitting, or conducting youth exercise safety courses at the gym, I always left these interactions filled with joy. I began working in an early childhood center in 2017, and it didn’t take long for me to realize I had found something I loved and wanted to pursue further. I have since lead a classroom of three year olds, and then pre-Kindergarten students . Each day I am able to leave work filled with sweet moments (and a few hugs). I treasure each time I am able to connect with students, and feel fulfilled daily watching them grow. I am excited to continue my journey in early childhood education with the Kindergarteners at Friends School.
When away from the classroom, I enjoy being active and connecting with friends. I hope to take advantage of Boulder’s amazing community, and learn all I can about my new home.
