Q: How did you find Friends School & why did you choose it for your children?

We looked at several other schools, also considered homeschooling, and we got a Friends School mailer that resonated for us. We felt the “sparkle” from Steve and loved the presentation at the open house and signed up on the spot. It felt like a more intimate school that focused on inspiring more of what matters (friends, collaboration, creativity, and innovation) vs teaching to standardized tests

Q: In what ways do you volunteer at Friends?

In the classroom for choice time, art, and special projects,  field trips, periodic strategic meetings (playground rebuild, maker space, marketing and recruitment positioning).

Q: What motivates you to volunteer?

Loving the opportunity to participate in and contribute to our daughters’ learning environments. Seeing how classmates interact with each other and their teachers. Seeing how excited the students and teachers get to have parents participating.

Q. What books are you reading right now?

George Lucas’ biography

Netflix founder’s autobiography

Bob Igor’s (Disney CEO) autobiography

(Yah, I like biographies)
